The family will sleep in their house on the resort that is being built, after Martina announced her transition at work.
Progress at work, and Martina is about to quit her job. In the evening. Nadia and her family come over, and Nadia has a serious talk with Elena, but then, it's Sarah who has news!
Elena is still in charge, but in the evening, she meets with Hanna, who has plans for the long-term care facility. Revelations are made, which make Elena a little dizzy, but nothing a long bath can't fix.
Elena gets stuck in charge at work when the charge nurse is stuck in traffic due to a pile-up, and the new book to read to Sarah arrived.
After a nice Saturday evening watching Netflix, Elena and Sarah go back to the chapel for another service, and Elena leaves underwhelmed. Oh well... While the girls go play in the woods, the men (and Martina) work on the houses. She has a nice walk with Kelly, which ends with hot dogs with everyone.
Sarah has more questions about her friend on Friday night, but Saturday, the family goes to the resort, as John wants to help Luis on his first day of working on the houses. Elena hangs with Kelly.
Martina gets explained the new plan and is skeptical at first, but Luis too! Negotiations with the resort go on, and Sarah learns more about friendship.
First, Thursday night comes with Elena reading a story to Kyle, since John is busy working. And then, it's Friday at the resort with Eleana hanging out with Kelly and realizing that perhaps, she got her wrong
[Pivotal episode] Sleepover at Marge's house where things change
Elena is imposed a breather at work and must work in triage, but then, she talks to HR and gets that solved. At lunch, she eats with Wendy, and another wheel starts to spin... But then, in trauma, another shooting.
John negotiated with the resort, and now brings home some news, which, again, begins to trigger Elena. But she is getting better, and the only problem is a slightly dry supper. Sarah gets a great grade and would normally want ice cream... but that requires putting clothes on. How will the 11-year-old solve that dilemma?
John wakes up in the middle of the night with a new plan, which is exposed to Elana when she wakes up and, later, to Luis. A family conversation shows more about Kyle's inner workings.
Elena has an idea to be less idealized by Martina. She asks her to babysit Sarah and Kyle so John and Elena can have a date. It goes better than expected, and not only does the couple connect, but Martina brings craft supplies and the kids have a blast!
The HVAC is being repaired, which causes a shock to Elena, but John also has his second therapy session. Elena has jokes that don't land. And there are some readings from the Book of Christopher.
Richard wakes up and realizes something is odd. Yes, Marge's father
Elena finally goes to church at the resort, which closes the first religious arc, and gets closer to Hanna.
It's again the Saturday evening barbecue, this time at the house of a new family that Elena and John get to know! Hanna and Darren. But also other people. And learns more about Nadia's issues.
